A visit to her husband…
It’s the yahtzeit of Bernie Gold’s death and Sadie, his widow, goes to the cemetery to clean his grave, read a prayer and then place a small stone on the marble, as is the tradition, to show that the deceased is remembered.
But because she hadn’t visited his grave for some years, Sadie cannot find Bernie’s resting place and has to ask an attendant for help. He escorts her to the cemetery office where all the records are kept.
He made her a cup of coffee and then spent time looking at maps and lists. After 30 minutes, he finally turns to Sadie and says, “I can find no record of a Bernie Gold buried at this cemetery. Are you sure he is here? All I can find is the grave of Sadie Gold”
“That’s him!” Sadie shouts out. “Bernie always put everything in my name.”

What is Chanukha?
The Talmud tells us that beginning with the 25th of Kislev, eight days of Hanukkah are observed, during which no eulogies are delivered, nor is fasting permitted. For when the Greeks entered the Sanctuary, they defiled all the oils, and when the Hasmoneans (the Maccabees) defeated them, they searched and found only one remaining jar of oil with the seal of the Kohen Gadol (the High Priest). Although it contained only enough oil to burn for one day, a miracle occurred, and the oil burned eight days. A year later the Rabbis designated these days as Yomim Tovim (Holidays) on which praise and thanksgiving were to be said. (Tractate Shabbat 21)

I just want to sleep because I don´t feel very well today. Was about to meet a friend, havn´t seen him for ages but I realised that I would more be a pain then a pleasure to meet when I feel how I feel now.
5 days left before I leave Israel, can´t believe it, even if I love it, I do look forward to meet family and friends..
That´s it, time to go to bed…
Birthday dinner…
Came just home from Old City, sitting in my bed and its full of black bags, quite nice because I really had the right shopping mode. Made some good deals and bought some christmas gifts and olive oil to my mum (which she have asked my to buy).
Coming up is Victoria´s birthday party, she turns 19 today so we will celebrate her at Foccacia, even if Elisabeth and I sang Happy Birthday in German already and made her lunchbox…=)
Now, I have to get to the market and by myself a pair of tights.
